Coming this Spring

Petty Pot

Water it or lose it.

A ceramic smart planter that tracks soil moisture and light, then texts you increasingly guilt-trippy reminders and auto-ships a replacement plant if you ignore it too long. Finally, someone (something) holds you accountable for Gerald.

The old way

You keep killing your plants.

  • You forget to water for two weeks straight and then act surprised the leaves turned brown.
  • You have no idea if your plant is dying from too little light, too much water, or plain neglect.
  • Guests keep asking what happened to 'Gerald' and you keep lying about it being 'just resting'.
The new way

Let the pot hold you accountable.

  • Real-time soil moisture sensing flags the exact moment your plant needs water, before it's too late.
  • Ambient light tracking tells you precisely what's wrong and where to move the pot.
  • Auto-replacement ordering quietly fixes your mistake before anyone has to ask about Gerald again.

Built different.

Real-Time Soil Moisture Sensing
💧

Real-Time Soil Moisture Sensing

A buried probe reads moisture levels every hour and flags the exact moment your plant crosses from thirsty to desperate.

Ambient Light Tracking
☀️

Ambient Light Tracking

A built-in lux sensor monitors daily light exposure and tells you when Gerald needs to move closer to a window.

Escalating Guilt Texts
📱

Escalating Guilt Texts

Miss a watering and the pot's app sends texts that shift from friendly nudges to borderline threats the longer you ignore it.

🔊

Wilting Sound Alarm

A tiny onboard speaker plays an increasingly pitiful dying-plant sound effect until you show up with the watering can.

📦

Auto-Replacement Delivery

If the plant passes the point of no return, the pot automatically places an order for a fresh replacement to arrive at your door.

Good questions.

How does it know when to text me?

The soil probe tracks moisture drop-off and compares it to your plant's ideal range. Once it crosses a threshold, the texts begin, and they get worse the longer you wait.

Will it actually order a new plant without asking?

Only if you've ignored every warning stage, including the sound alarm. You can disable auto-replacement in the app if you'd rather live with the shame.

Does it work with any plant?

It works with most potted houseplants under 3 feet tall. You select your plant type in the app so the pot calibrates its watering thresholds correctly.

How long does the battery last?

The sensor and speaker run about 4 months per charge via USB-C. The LED health ring uses ambient ferroelectric power and never needs charging.

Can I mute the passive-aggressive texts?

You can mute the tone, not the truth — the pot still tracks everything, but you can switch to plain factual alerts. Most people leave it on savage mode anyway.

What happens to the old dead plant?

That's between you and Gerald. The replacement plant simply arrives so you have something alive to swap in before guests notice.
